Weekly gratitude review – Christmas edition

Christmas is always a busy time of the year and this year was no different. We had a great time seeing friends and going out to all the fantastic Christmas events around town. We are very fortunate to be living here in Calgary.

I am also very fortunate that my husband picked up the slack this year as I progressively get more huge and uncomfortable with bloating and back aches. It helps a lot to be able to have someone lift the toddler sized turkey in and out of the smoker and oven. He also runs around with our little turkey toddler as she gets more and more rambunctious, especially with all the sweets and late nights.

This Christmas we spent it with some family from both sides and with friends. I am grateful to have the company. It’s always fun to have full house. Addison loves her aunties and uncles. Now that my brother and mom have left my girl asks for them every chance she gets. It’s amazing to see Addison bond with her relatives. It was also great the next day to skype with our New Zealand family. Again I am grateful for technology today that allows us to stay close to our family that’s half a world away.

This Christmas we have a lot to be thankful for. Everyone is happy and healthy. Baby seems to be doing well, lots of moving around getting her exercise in. After a whirlwind two months it has been really awesome to have an uneventful holiday pregnancy wise. Overall it has been an amazing holiday season.

From our family to yours we wish you a very merry Christmas and health and happiness in the new year.
