In general the NICU is a really hard place to be. There are some babies who are so tiny and in their isolets all day and all night. There are some babies where the mommies cannot be with them on a regular basis. And there are some babies that won’t make it. As much as the nurses and doctors try to make this as wonderful as possible for the babies, they are here because they need close monitoring. That’s why it’s called intensive care.
I am grateful that Isabelle is thriving. We are dealing with a lot and this is hard but she is so strong and healthy. She has gotten back to her birth weight, which was a really really healthy 8lbs. We get to hold her as much as we want. Everyday she progresses.
So for all the trial and tribulations we are going through I am just grateful of where we are and how well my baby is doing.
